Good for sourdough - but durability?
Bought for sourdough baking. Early days as yet as used only 25 times so far, but still 'as new' with no signs of non-stick wear. Loaf drops out with no sticking or need for prior greasing. Heavy duty. Quick rinse cleans it. Excellent all round.Update after 5 months usage and 72 sourdough bakes (plus a few cakes): the non-stick performance has noticeably deteriorated such that a couple of recent loaves have needed to be 'sawn' out of the tin - damaging a plastic spatula. Said to be safe for use with metal utensils but I never use them on non-stick. Not so good. The packaging says '10 year guarantee'. It still looks okay so can't really say it is faulty, but getting to feel like time a better quality replacement is needed. Rating changed to 3-star from 5.

Great For Loaf Cakes
I bake, a lot! And bought this tin on recommendation from a fellow baker. It bakes a really nice sized loaf cake, perfect for slicing. The only minimal downside is that it’s hard to line with baking parchment, so I don’t bother! I butter and flour the inside of the tin and then add baking parchment to the base and I haven’t had any problems getting cakes out. In fact I bake my in-laws Christmas cake in this tin and it didn’t stick. Also I’ve noticed that the tin doesn’t appear to have hotspots. Even after baking a rich fruit Christmas cake, the whole cake baked evenly, which is a major plus for a loaf shaped tin.I haven’t yet baked bread in it and I’m not sure if I will. I have dedicated tins for bread and bought this tin with loaf cakes in mind. If I do use it for bread I’ll add to the comment. In my experience as a food blogger most people rarel have unlimited storage space in their kitchens. So, in my kitchen, each and every piece of kitchenware has to earn its place. This loaf tin does exactly that.

Larger than expected
I should have looked at the measurement before buying, most other tins including my own are smaller. Normally a 2lb loaf is 23 cms x 13 cms this is 24.6 x 14.5 so I am not looking forward to cooking with it. Also it states that it is robust and dishwasher safe however in the small print it recommends that it should be hand-washed and dried thoroughly to preserve the coating. So not that robust. I have given it 4 stars because all the 1 and 3 stars were not able to be viewed

Reliability and value for money.
Had this delivered today 12/02/2021.Well ahead of the delivery date. It's strong, robust and the quality of the coated non-stick black finish and build is brilliant. Will take up to a 600gm loaf with no problem.Washed it thoroughly as per instructions.Never scrub it or put in a dishwasher. Lightly oil before using.I found olive oil best. The finished loaf slips out of the tin like a dream.Thoroughly recommend this product. In fact, just ordered another one five minutes ago.Ps.don't forget to remove the plastic clip before baking.

A great loaf tin for the home baker - best I have ever bought
This is a high quality tin with a great non-stick finish. I would recommend hand washing as I am doubtful that any non-stick coating services the dishwasher for long.I use this for both fancy breads and traditional cakes. For the latter, I use a traditional parchment liner [also available from Amazon] as I find this gives a nicer finish to my cakes and takes away any worry about getting the cake out of the tin whole. However, I can vouch for the fact that this is not necessary if you don't want to pay out for the liners.Over all, a great, high quality piece of traditional bakeware that is entirely fit for purpose.

handle melted
On taking tin out of gas oven I noticed that there was a lump of melted plastic on side of tin where handle had been. I levered it off with knife (not hard to do because it was soft). I Looked in the bottom of oven to find remainder of melted mangled handle. Was I meant to take this off before using I wonder although I saw nothing, that I remember, on label to signify this. Other than that happening this a nice, although very small tin. Should have bought bog standard bread tin though.

Heavy gauge steel tin makes better bread than my old aluminium tins.
Pros: Heavy gauge steel gets hotter than aluminium and bread looks and taste better.Cons: None so far. These tins feel solid and are much heavier than I expected. As professional bakers have pointed out to me, a heavy steel tin works better for bread than a lightweight aluminium tin. You get a better crust and the bread will taste better because of this. This is particularly true for Rye bread (which I mainly eat) but this also applies to white Wheat bread or Wholemeal bread. Definately a five star product.

Perfect loaves every time.
Great strong bread tin.Nothing sticks: loaf just falls outBetter than bread machine for baking.Cleans with a light rub with a damp cloth.I mix and prove the dough in a bread machine, decant into this tin, prove again in front of the warm fire with a teatowel over the top then bake for 30 minutes at 180. Perfect shape and quality loaf every time. So much better than baking in the bread machine which could be a bit hit and miss with same recipe. No more small dense loaves.
