My daughter, Ella loves this story. Not only is the main character named Ella it is also a fun story about a little ballerina and the lovely princess she dances helps. The story is sweet. The illustrations are not the usual brightly colored children's books illustrations, instead they are soft and almost dream like. They fit the story well. We have Ella Bella Ballerina and Cinderella as well, love both books. Great gift for a girly girl.

These are the sweetest books with beautiful illustrations. My daughter is named Ella, and we have always called her Ella Bella, so she really loves these books. You won't mind reading any book from this series over and over and over.

this book is well done and the whole series is great for households with budding ballerinas who perform or have seen or will seee performances of full length ballets.

This and the other book, "Ella Bella Ballerina and Cinderella," is a must have if you have a little girl name Ella. I have a four year old who's a precocious reader and her nickname is Ella Bella. She loves dancing like a ballerina and the character Cinderella. Reading this book is a very personal experience for her!!

We checked 2 of the other Ella Bella books from the library so we thought this would also be a great addition. These books have beautiful illustrations and do a great job of teaching the story of the ballet or fairy tale to young children. My daughter reads these books over and over!

What a great version of Sleeping Beauty ! My daughter loves the Ella Bella series, and they are beautifully interested. I give these as gifts and they are always a big hit !

James Mayhew's "Ella Bella Ballerina" series is really well done. If your daughter, granddaughter, niece, etc. is an aspiring ballerina, she will love the Ella Bella books. James Mayhew is a wonderful artist, and the pictures are beautiful.

My daughter loves this book. I first got her the nutcracker then Cinderella and now the sleeping beauty. She loves all of them. Might get the other books to finish the collection.

These beautiful story books are a must for children interested in ballet. Each one in the series is magical, with "Ella Bella" as the star. I have bought them all for my small Granddaughter. The Nutcracker, is full of gorgeous illustrations, and would make a wonderful Christmas gift.

The Ella Bella books are some of the nicest children's books I've seen. They cleverly weave in the story of the ballet while making it relatable for little ones. I regularly read this with my three year old daughter, and she's really enjoyed it. Because it follows the ballet so closely, I've been able to show her clips on YouTube of what's happening in the actual ballet during the story (e.g. the spindle dance) and she's been fascinated. Highly recommended.
