I rarely leave product reviews but after spending $29.99 on this bottle I thought I would share my experience.I bought the first bottle a few months ago. I started using it and noticed that my skin was improving but not 100%. Either way I was committed to seeing it through since every one raves about it (at least through the bottle). On vacation and due to my carelessness, the bottle leaked into my clothes and I wasted about 99% of it. So I ordered a second one...The moment I opened the 2nd bottle I knew something was off with the oil. The oil was super light in the glass dropper (drastically different than the first). When placed on my hand the oil was barely visible. You can see from the pictures how different the oils are on a plain white paper towel. They smell differently too. The consistency of the 2nd bottle is less oily than the 1st bottle.I am not an expert but I suspect that this product has been diluted and that it is not 100% Rose Hip oil. For that reason I returned the bottle and do not plan on ordering another one.Consider yourselves warned...

It is easy to buy low quality rosehip oil that is advertised as high quality, 100% pure, etc. I was looking for the characteristic orangey color implying undiluted high vitamin a content. This fell somewhere in between since it was more of a light yellow hue. It is not very thick, more of a maple syrup texture. The smell was not QUITE as fresh and bioactive as I was hoping. It was not yet rancid nor cut with other scented oils but it wasn't like fresh, extremely potent rosehip oil. I would put this product in the middle range of rosehip oils. My biggest complaint, however, is this: the bottle had no date of manufacture or expiration date. This should be a basic standard for all oil products because all oils, even the touted "preservative" oils like vitamin E, DO have a shelf life and DO oxidize and expire! If the company addresses my concern and can give me these dates, I will update this review.

Super disappointed. I’ve ordered this for a few years and the formula seems to have changed, or they started mixing it with another oil. One of the ways to tell rosehip seed oil is pure, is the dark amber color and smell. The oil I’ve ordere from Kate before has always been dark amber. Got my new oil and opened it today and it has almost zero color. Ugh! Have to find a new brand now! I attached pictures showing the color difference of the old oil vs new. I have been using this product for about a month before reviewing it, and I am pleasantly surprised. I’ve had pesky stretch marks and scars that I’ve tried getting rid of for years, and I noticed how much they had faded just from using this! Will definitely buy more when I run out.Bought again and excited to continue using! Bit upset that it went up in price

I bought this product to help with acne scarring. I have dry skin. I currently use Cerave daily moisturizer, and it works amazingly well. I developed acne as an adult after college. My skin is now clear with the exception of an occasional pimple. However, I used this product for one day, and my chin broke out bad. This was just one day of use, and these pimples grew bigger even after I discontinued use and went back to my regular skin regimen and Rx acne gel, which I use as needed. It’s been a week, and just now, my chin has almost recovered.This is a photo the next day after use. I used this oil just twice, once in the morning and at night before bed. When I woke up like this, I stopped it. I haven’t had any flare ups since I discontinued this product.

Updated as of 7/24/18I decided to buy the bigger bottle because I loved my first smaller one. When I received it, the oil was significantly lighter in color than the first and had no odor. My first bottle had a nutty smell to it (like it should). Weird. I decided to try it and it just did not feel like the same quality as my first bottle. It felt greasy and made me break out. It definitely was not the “dry oil” I was so used to before. Only updating my review because I feel the quality is inconsistent. I sadly returned it. :(Original review:I bought this for myself to try to see what all the buzz was. I never would think to put oil on my face since a lot of products I’ve encountered at the store are “oil-free” so it sounded odd to me, but I tried it and I am so in love it already! My skin is combo type and the oil really helps to hydrate my skin. Mid-day, I usually have to put on powder or dab my t-zone and for the past week of use, I haven’t had to do either. I love that this is a “dry” oil so my face doesn’t feel so uncomfortably oily when I apply it on.My boyfriend also has psoriasis and I’ve read that rosehip seed oil aids in healing the sores. For the past couple of nights, I applied it on his face, neck and chest and within only a couple days, he’s already applying it himself! His sores and redness have gone down tremendously and it’s crazy to think that he is going out of his way to put it on himself lol.

I have used this product for approximately a month, and I'm very happy with the results. It absorbs into my skin and my skin is soft and supple, not oily. I definitely have noticed a fading of dark spots and a more even skin tone in general.. I will continue to use this, as my skin is very sensitive and it loves this oil!As an update, I have reordered this oil as I absolutely love it. I have noticed such a difference in my overall skin tone since using this oil. My skin looks radiant!

I’ve ordered this oil at least 3 times before with no issue, but my most recent order (received 8/18) was awful. The oil was obviously diluted, smelled VERY OFF and broke my skin out horribly (just did a test patch)! I use Rosehip Oil because I’m pregnant and want to keep my skincare natural and safe. That’s obviously not going to be possible with this seller. Who knows what kind of filler oil they’re using!
