I love how soft these towels are and they absorb quite well. The oversized towel wraps around you very comfortably. They have been washing up very well. I am extremely happy with the towel overall and the price was less than other places.

*** Since I did the original review I have received 144 messages requesting me to remove this review. Every letter promises to send me an amazon Gift Card in the amount of $25 - $75. I will not remove it as they are still deceiving customers as to what they are selling. These are cheap Chinese towels, the cotton is not from Egypt.These ARE NOT made from Egyptian cotton nor were they made in Egypt. Egypt has strict standards and requires explicit labeling if it is Egyptian cotton.These were manufactured in China with no marking of the cotton’s origin. The label identifies the towels as “Apple Jacks”As advertised the towel is supposed to be long ‘Egyptian Staple Cotton”, they are not. I bought these to replace a set of 6-year-old “Restoration Hardware” 800 GSM white spa towels. After washing and drying, these towels are at best ½ the pile of my 6-year-old towels. These are definitely NOT 800 GSM.The seams are very poorly sewn with open pockets at the top and bottom of the towel so it is doubtful that they would survive a couple of dozen wash-dry cycles.Not worth ½ the price, look elsewhere don’t waste your money.

When I received it, the package was intact. When I opened it, the quality of the towel felt good. It felt comfortable and soft. Very good product. It was also a pleasant shopping trip.

Not as absorbent as expected

Please don't waste your money. They are soft but simply don't do what a towel should namely dry you off. Washing and drying these will not help with absorbency. Very disappointed.Update: Several months and many washings later, absorbancy is better. Still not super high quality product , but usuable...

They are heavy, absorbent, and very nice quality. The ratings say LIGHT WEIGHT 1 - 5 stars. uh, not lightweight. AWESOME.

I have bought enough towels to know that most of them shed a little in the first wash and maybe also in the second wash. But I have never seen a towel shed like these did. It was lucky that I decided to stand by for the first rinse--the mesh filter in the stationary tub became clogged every 30 seconds and I had to clear it out over and over again. When the washer finished, the washer tub was filled with fibers that I had to pick out by hand. That might be even somewhat normal but the towels themselves had big hunks of fiber on them. I put them in the dryer and set a timer every 5 minutes. The dryer filter was completely covered with fiber each time. But when the towels were dry, there were still lots and lots of visible fiber hunks on them. I tried using a lint roller on them but it wouldn't pick up the fibers. I decided to give up, afraid that it wasn't worth the work and my washer might be damaged by all the fibers. I was so disappointed because the teal color (very vivid) was gorgeous and that color is currently so hard to find. The towels did not bleed--it may have helped that I used 1 cup vinegar in the wash to set the color. I don't believe these are 900 GSM towels. They are acceptable but not heavier than my 600 GSM towels from Garnet Hill. I don't recommend these towels.
