Easy to install, good features and functionality with the Meross APP, works with other apps too!
I bought this garage door opener because I have three doors and wanted something that came as one unit rather than having three separate controls, one for each door. This opener worked like a charm and was very simple to install. The unit works on a huge number of garage door openers. When I was trying to decide if it would work on mine, I was a little frustrated as there was no list showing which openers it would work with but once I got the product, downloaded the APP and saw the vast selection of openers it was compatible with, I could see why. There are just TOO many to list in the description on the web page!To install the product, you'll need to download the Meross APP first, create an account and then it will walk you through the steps to install the unit, route and connect the wiring, etc. At first, the APP can seem a bit cumbersome when trying to get it to work but it's not difficult at all, once you follow the proper steps in the instructions. There are no fees or subscriptions needed as the APP is free; I like free! With the APP, there are a lot of features you can use to control your garage doors, you can set them up to close at a certain time, get notifications when a door is opened, you can view a record of openings and closings, etc. You can even check the APP and at a glance, see if your doors are open or closed, very nice feature! And of course, the opener works seamlessly with other smart control devices, even multiple ones if you have more than one which you use. I have Alexa as my main control device at home, but I also have Siri on my phone, and I can open or close the doors with either one. If you have the Alexa app on your phone, you can control them with it as well. If you're in your vehicle and don't have the Alexa app or have it listening, you can just tell Siri to open (or close) your garage door. I really love all of this functionality! And you can control the doors from anywhere as long as you have a Wi-Fi signal. Again, just check the Meross APP to see whether they are open or closed.A couple of things I want to mention, one is, this controller only comes with wiring for two doors but it can be used on three doors. This is noted in the description so it's no big deal but, I needed the third set of wiring and had to research it to figure out the right thing to order. Meross, you need to either list that third wiring set in the description for this product or put a link to it on the product page. Secondly, I reached out to Meross customer service, not for a problem, but to ask a technical question and I received a very fast response from Lydia. Her response was concise and easily understood, answering my question exactly, leaving no doubt in my mind about what I was asking - great job!Overall, I highly recommend this product if you're wanting to upgrade and have the ability to control your garage doors other than with switches or remotes. With the Meross APP, you don't need anything else to have that full control over your doors but having the other smart control options is nice as well. I like the product so much, I've already ordered another one to use with the two large garage doors on my workshop. For the money and the features you get, this product is a great value!d this long before I got them!

Huge upgrade to my 40 year old Genie
TLDR: I’m a woman in my 60s and I installed this myself after watching a couple of videos. It works exactly as I’d hoped. My very old garage door opener wasn’t playing nicely with my new car, the receiver was just too weak to pick up the signal through the closed garage door. At first I hoped to just buy a new clicker but it turned out my opner was so old they didn’t make them anymore. Reddit advised me to just replace the opener but that would have been hundreds of dollars and probably would have required me to hire an installer. Then I found a post about this Meross unit and the more I looked into it the more confident I became that it would work with my old opener. I figured it was worth a try.I am a women in my 60s and not super fit. Even so, I was able to install this pretty easily myself. It took less than an hour and it works exactly as I’d hoped! Now I can open the garage from my watch or just by asking Siri to do it.The photo is the opener before I installed the Meross. It’s really old. As a bonus, I was able to replace the light bulbs while I was up there. Looks like someone tried at some point but didn’t realize there were screws holding the cover on.

Best way for smart garage door remote
This is not a promotional, paid, or promised gift review; I am doing this because this product deserves a great review. I’ve had a My-Q system for several years, that kind of worked. Very much a pain to hook up, it would notify me that my doors were open when they weren’t, and changing batteries involved a ladder. But then one door failed, and customer service could not solve the problem without recommending replacing that $150 control board. Then I found this Meross product. I figured what do I have to lose with something so inexpensive. But this is amazing and should be selling for much more. The unit itself is about the size of a deck of cards with an antenna and some plug-in ports. One goes to the USB power supply. Then each door has its own long wire. [The unit can run 3 doors, the kit comes the wires for 2 doors.] One end plugs into the Meross. The other end is the door sensor, which is similar to most alarm system magnets. The wire is already attached to one end, and I screwed this to the wall just above the top of the garage door. I screwed the other magnet to the top of the garage door. It comes with double sided tape, but I felt better putting in screws. There are options, instructions and brackets to how to attach to the J-channel, but the method I used was super easy. Then the 2 wires in the middle of the long wire plug into the back of the door opening motor. I don’t know how this could be simpler. My case was slightly different in that I have two different kinds of Liftmaster motors. These needed accessory kits, that Meross sent right away. It took two different accessory kits for the different motors, but both were easy. The accessory kit is a small box that attaches to those two wires in the middle of the long wire. Then you program that box to the learn button for the garage door. Still, hooking up the accessory kit was maybe 2 minutes and incredibly easy. The app for my phone works perfectly to both tell me the status of the doors and also to allow me to open or close them. You can set times to be alerted, such as a reminder the door has been open for 15 minutes. You can tell the app to automatically close the doors at night just in case your forgot. You can also open/close the doors through Alexa. Note that the units starts beeping before it closes a door to warn anyone around that the door is closing. The Meross unit communicates to the app via your WiFi. This was no problem for me and my detached garage 50’ behind my house as I already use PowerLine to send WiFi to the garage for Nest cameras, TV streaming, etc. But if the distance to your WiFi router is too far, you might need an extender. What I definitely appreciated during setup is that it told me the strength of the WiFi signal it found, which was a very nice touch.I had a couple of occasions to contact customer support to make sure I had ordered the correct unit and arrange for the accessory kits. They always responded right away.In short, I simply do not know how you could find a better deal on a smart remote garage door system.
