Got this product for my mother who is 58 years old.I haven't used the product personally, so the views expressed in this review are hers.It's convenient and easy to use.The instructions to sharpen the knife are simple to follow once you figure out which blade to start with as it is a 3stage process. It is a bit confusing as the blades described on the box are different from the names given to the blades on the product itself. With the handle towards the left, you start with the blade that is on the leftmost and progress towards the right.Assuming your knives are completely blunt, 4 rounds on each balde of the sharpner does the trick sharpens it the knife well, however you might want to repeat the process before you begin another session of chopping with the knife.The rubber grip at the bottom is pretty sturds and holds the product firmly in place.We have multiple knifes at home, all of various sizes and purposes and this has managed to do a satisfactory job of everything that was thrown at it. So I would definitely rate it high on value for money as the build quality although, plastic, is of good quality.Thanks amazon
