I used this kit to add an additional hard drive to my Mac mini (Mac mini 2.6GHz Core i7 (A1347) - Late 2012).There are no instructions provided with this kit, so I used the iFixit guide available online.All the tools that are required to do the work are provided, and a few more that weren't needed, perhaps these are required for other models.The tools provided satisfactorily performed their tasks and no problems were found with the tools.The hard drive cable length provided is to install a drive in the top bay (when the Mac mini is the correct way up, or the bottom of the case when it is open and you are working on it).As the cable isn't folded in two places (at the edge of drive and edge of motherboard) you will need to make doubly sure that the cables connector on the motherboard is seated well. I recommend after replacing the antenna plate and before replacing the fan you do this check.The task was more fiddly than replacing a hard drive in a classic tower case. Overall the task took about an hour.

Good kit. All items present. Quality good.Followed IFixit guide and installed a 480 GB SSD quickly and without drama.Placed the ribbon cable for new drive under the existing drive then onto connector. Cable not long enough to go over - by design.

USELESS - DO NOT BUY THIS SET - IT DOES NOT CONTAIN THE TWO SECURITY SCREWDRIVERS NEEDED TO OPEN A 2014 MAC MINI DESPITE THE DESCRIPTION STATING THAT IT DOES. I’M SO HACKED OFF I COULDN’T BE BOTHERED TO SEND IT BACK FOR A REFUND.

Did the job and a few others too.

Kit arrived very prompt. Delivery was in a standard box and nice little clear sleeve for all of the tools.Tools are of an acceptable quality, only major problem is that it WILL NOT be enough for the latter Mac Mini 2014. This requires the use of a T6 Torx that has the hole in the middle. Commonly known as a security screwdriver. Although this can be easily found on amazon, why is it not included in this kit that is supposed to do it all?Anyway the parts are useful and this kit is recommended, just ensure that if you need the T6 Security Screwdriver that you purchase this separately.

Ho acquistato questo kit per il mio mini Mac del 2014, il mio Mac aveva solo l'hd pcie originale da 256 gb e volevo aumentare la sua capacita, avevo preso un pcie da 1 gb ma ho provato diversi adattatori ma non funzionava, mi sono deciso a prendere qst kit al prezzo di poco superiore all 10 euro compreso di spedizione prime, ed in una sciocchezza di tempo l'ho installato lasciando anche il pcie come hd secondario, il pc va una bomba, ottimo davvero acquisto

llego rápido y la verdad que esta muy bien de precio. es muy completo porque te incluye todas las llaves posibles para todos los modelos. en mi caso, un macmini 2012 no he usad más que un par de llaves. ni siquiera el conector del disco duro ya que he reutilizado el que estaba en el propio ordenador. eso si. trabajo fácil y me he ahorrado un dineral.

Alles drin was man für den Umbau der Festplatte brauch. Kann ich jedem empfehlen der seinen Mac Mini umrüsten möchte. Hochwertige Werkzeuge sind auch dabei, denn da habe ich schon schlechtere gesehen. Auf Grund der einen schlechten Bewertung war ich anfangs auch recht skeptisch, hat sich aber nach Erhalt direkt ins positive gewendet.

ho utilizzato questo set per sostituire il vecchio HD meccanico di un mac mini 2011 con un ssd e gli attrezzi contenuti sono perfettamente calibrati all'attività. il set comprende anche ulteriori strumenti e un adattatore sata per installare un secondo hard disk, che non ho utilizzato (per ora). la qualità appare. buona. lo consiglio
