This product really works well! But only if you mount it in the right location. I first mounted itup high & close to the wheel rim & it did not work. I then moved it lower & closer to the wheel hub.and now it works great! Other type bikes might work in the first position I tried, you just need get themagnet as close to the light that you can. I highly recommend this light.

Great not having to remember to turn on the tail light! Would be even better if it would stay on when stopped at an intersection.

Needs a better design
The design to attach the little magnets to the spokes is flaky at best. I don't like the rubber band design to attach the light either. That rubber lasts a year maybe 2 if your lucky before it rots or stretches out and doesn't hold any more.

Easy to mount and doesn’t need batteries.
Lykus Battery-Free Bike Tail Light, Self-Powered, No Need to Recharge, Auto On/Off, Water Resistant, Easy Installation (Red)I needed a rear tail light that didn’t mount onto the seat post because I normally mount a saddle bag there.This light by Lykus also had the added advantage of not needing batteries so was a natural choice for me.The light came in a plain brown box with a rubber strap and two spoke magnets. Installation was extremely easy, within 5 mins I had fixed it to the seat-stay post using the rubber strap and screwed the magnets onto the spokes opposite to each other.When the magnet got close to the light, it would deflect an induction coil that generated a small amount of electricity causing an LED to flash (the faster the wheel spun the more it light up). I did notice a tick sound every time the magnet passed the sensor and deflected the coil, so beware of this of you have a silent bike. As for the light output it was good for essentially a human powered light but not as bright as something like a CREE LED light.I took my bike for a 3 hour ride in a dark forest and tested it out and it worked great. In conclusion the light performed well, was small, lightweight and easy to mount. It was great because it did not need batteries and it was always on. For me though, best of all was that it didn’t need to be mounted to a seat post. So it gets the full 5 stars. Thanks for taking the time to read my review! Good light
Decent light, visible from a fair distance.I really like that I don't have to worry about changing batteries :)Makes a small noise each time a magnet passes the light, but it doesn't bother me.Not working when stationary (e.g. at traffic lights), but I knew that beforehand. They seem to have a newer version which stores the charge, so it will light some 20-30 seconds after you stopped.

Easy to install....
Bit fiddly but then the parts are small that go on the spokes. You don't want them to be the size of a brick do you! Placement is key with any magnetic reliant device so keep fiddling until it works. Mine does and it's now a perfect backup for myain lights. Great value for money.

Noisy contraption that works
The idea is cool, but the mechanism is creating quite a lot of noise. Every time the magnet passes the light, a spring sound is heard from the light. If you prefer a soundless ride, this light is NOT for you!

Safe riding
A great safety enhancement for my bike, fixed and forgotten about but always flashing when I am on the move to alert other road users of my presence.

It goes between the wheel with no security it is dangerous most likely to break easily. I cannot use it.

An excellent piece of kit
Very simple and works very well. An excellent piece of kit.My only problem is that when I have my panniers on it can't be seen

It's great, it makes enough light to be noticed in the dark. I wish the product was just a bit smaller so it could fit in a better place on the bike.
