The AirWire is simply amazing
We have purchased and installed about 20 of these and frankly, they simply work flawlessly. They are an ethernet bridge and as such, they work at the ethernet level. This means that they do not require any ip configuration, they simply pass the signal from one antenna to the other. They are unique because:- they do not create an wifi access point that you have to secure or hide- they do not require an ip address- they do not require pairing as each kit comes pre-paired- there is not even a power button on them! One less thing to troubleshoot!- single ethernet plug at each end, easy connection- power adapter plugs into an ethernet dongle, meaning you can place the antenna far from the power outlet simply by having a single long network cable between the connection point and the antennaAs far as signal distance goes, we have tested them in several environments and they work beautifully. They will work fine at a distance of 50-150 feet even in different rooms, one behind a counter, closed doors, different floors, etc. We have some cases where we have only on bar of signal and we still get a reliable connection. The nice little diagnostic leds will show power, local connection status, activity and signal strength. They have a sleek design and really look good. There are two negative points I can see. First, the ethernet/power dongle must be connected the correct way, otherwise the AirWire will not power up. It is well illustrated in the documentation, but it seems so easy that most people will just go ahead and connect it without looking at the docs, and end up with no power, scratching their head! I know I did and every tech that we asked to try and connect them did the same mistake. Easy to correct, just RTFM and connect them the right way!!!Second is the small base has no holes to screw the antenna (to a wall or upside down under a counter for example). Also, the base does not "click" to the antenna so if you decide to drill small holes in the base to secure it to the wall, it still has a chance to come off the base. It's fairly tight, but still the base could be improved for commercial installations. These two points are really minor and overall, I give it a five star rating and would recommend them without hesitation. They're a life saver when running a cable is a costly option. Just replace any cable with an AirWire and you're good to go!

Does not work. and there is no tech support.
I have bought 2 of these and they will not power up. I have it connected right because one turned on for a few min and then stopped. 2 bad systems is not a good deal. Called the manufacturer and it only says to go online.

easy to use
vary easy to use , but the signal is not that high ,the best thing is : no need for configuration

I love Ubiquiti products and push them whenever i can
I love Ubiquiti products and push them whenever i can. This product simply did not live up to the name. It does not work anywhere near the distance as advertised.

better than I had but not clearly advertised
It does work but the advertisement said 100m (328ft) but I think it is clear line of sight. The distance I'm stuck with is 75ft but I have to go through 4 walls and 1 floor. I only get 1 LED for signal strength.Considering the signal strength I have with this I am impressed with the speed. I was using a "range extender" which had good signal strength but bad speed (1/3 of what I'm getting now)Hopefully this will last longer than the range extender I had.Bottom line is: Yes I would purchase this again.

Just a great product that does what it says it will do.
A truly amazing product! It does exactly what it says it will do, it creates a wire-like connection with a 5 GHz paired connection. It is as simple as plug and play. You plug the cat 5 cable from one panel into one end of the connection and you do the same with the other panel where you would like your invisible cable to connect. The devices are pre-paired so there is no software whatsoever for this. Each panel has LEDs on the front to allow you to align the panels for best reception on each end. It just works and it works further than advertised with many other 5 GHz networks in the area and with many walls separating the two small panels. If you have a single room that always seems to cause you issues with its network connection, this is what you have been looking for and I have no reservations recommending to anyone to set up from IT Pro to your 99 yo Great-Grandmother, either will be able to get this done.

Seems like this product is a hype and previous reviews are ...
Dismal speed, download and upload, when compared to wireless over same distance. One end of AirWire is connected to Asus RT-N66U. Wireless is connecting to 5GHz network on the RT-N66U.Seems like this product is a hype and previous reviews are posted by the company.

Love it... Works great
This is truly plug and play, and it actually works.... no calls to tech support, no headaches, just plug it in and it works. We had a situation where I needed to have an ethernet device working in another building on my property. This product was recommended by my local computer store and this worked perfectly and reliably for what I needed. In fact, it worked so well that we bought two more units and set up a bridge for my oldest son's PS3. It works better than his wireless reception. So until all the peripherals on my network are totally wireless (and longer range), I will use these.
