Plano Compact Side by Side Tackle Box,Gray/Clear

Look at the reviews. Look at the dimensions closely. Its very small. Too small to use for fishing or anything like that. I will not send it back because I did not pay close attention to disruption. My fault. I will give it to a granddaughter for her tiny toys.

What this could fit in an example from my gear:20 egg weights in one compartmenttwo compartments of maybe 20 hooks each20 swivels in a compartment3 jig heads6 1/12 kastmasters each in their own compartments12 1/8 kastmasters, 6 in two different larger compartments9 1/16 panther martin spinners3 1/8 panther martin spinners2 each of the silver, brass, and gold reflective super dupers (could hold 6 more with room left)2 other straight spinners sharing a large slot with 2 larger spoonsPersonally I ran outta stuff before I ran out of room so the numbers are against the slots used vs unused to assume totals.Cons:None of these slots are going to close as well as you might like if you're not using it for flies. If I were to open it "upside down" so that the egg weights were on the top when opened it would most assuredly spill. I'll have to be careful, but it is worth it compared to my other boxes for same.

Honestly I thought this would be better quality, made of cheap plastic, the lids do not snap shut completely. This is worth $5 tops, unless your in a bind and really need something I do not recommend, even then you could probably find something for less.

I know it wasn't very expensive! Just not impressed seems very cheaply made and flimsy.

This tackle box set up is really only relevant for flies in my opinion. You can configure it for in line spinners or other spinning tackle but you will not be able to fit many lures in. I was able to get 7 number 2 size panther martins on one side and 5 number 4 size in the other side.

I had one of these from about 10 years ago, and loved it.I ordered 2 of these, and one of them has pretty weak latches. I have to be very careful not to spill the contents of it all over the place. And since I'm storing perch hooks, that could be a REAL pain... literally.The second one is a little better, but still not as good as the older one.

The measurements in the Amazon description were 1x1x1. It's only about 6"x 4" x1" DON'T BUY IF YOU'RE USING IT FOR SALTWATER RIGS. Unless you're going to put fly lures in it. I figured that was wrong, so by the pic it looked larger. I cab only fit small donkeys and swivels in this box. The description is completely misleading. Not to mention expensive footer the size. I saw a large Plano tackle box approx 24"x 12"x 1" in Wal-Mart today for 7.43. But i said "nah I have one coming from Amazon. Completely disappointed, idk know why everybody is giving 5 stars but sagging it's smaller than expected. You could only store Carlisle hooks in this thing.

I use this tackle box to organize my daily medications, a couple of which I take a couple of times a day. I mention this because initially I was concerned that the closing mechanism would fail due to it being plastic. However, I haven't had any problems and the internal dividers, which can be removed, allow you to modify the size of each compartment. It really is a great box to organize small items (ie. jewelry box, organize office supplies for on the go, or an eclectic mix). I will purchase more, the price is right.

It's 12cm x 10.5cm x 3.5cm (Hey Amazon, where's my pay for doing YOUR job as a seller?).Amazon is a HORRIBLE 'seller', they can't be bothered to actually make ACCURATE descriptions or fill in more than 'its a box'. HOW is a little box that is wider than it is long than it is thick be 25mmx25mmx25mm. Math dictates that makes a CUBE!!! So of course, no one has any idea how big the item is. There's NO 'scale' to compare it to; no 'in hand' picture (btw, Amazon usually only has ONE picture of items they sell).The box IS small,As for 'too small to fit anything'; um, I got TWENTY small spoons (trout), a dozen small jig bodies, 2 jig heads for those bodies, 2 tiny jig heads, 6 bodies for those jigs and a tiny 'spinner' attachment in this box.ANYONE complainging that this is too small to fit anything obviously thought they were getting a larger box.This box is perfectly fine for SMALL tackle or terminal tackle or FLY fishing.Granted, we can't know how big it is due to Amazon's complacent 'why tell a customer what they're buying'...but I can tell you after several returns...THIS IS BETTER than other Plano products.I've returned items that were built cheaper than 'chinese' items. And ordered other Plano items (clear plastic ones, NOT their 'coloured' ones), that are FAR superior to the coloured Plano items. This one, is better than most. The hinge is a rod pinned 'piano' style hinge (unlike many of Plano's PRESS fit hinges that wobble), it has a good 'snap' latch (the small 2 sided tackle box would often not even line up to close the lid and it had a 'built in' latch that barely held, it got returned). The inside lids are a little flimsy, but no more than any other small box that uses the exact same 'one piece/multi compartment' system used by other manufacturers AND chinese products. AND this is less expensive.So, built better and less money...sounds like a better value that other Plano items...IF only Amazon would be honest about the size.Why not 4 or 5 stars? Well, because Amazon can't be bothered to inform customers, they simply put ANY numbers (thus, LYING). There is NO way to know the size so we're left dealing with 'experimenting'. I can't give a product 5 stars when I'm left in the dark about how big it is. The item itself is a 4, but looses a star for making me WAIT to find out how big it really is...or should I say how SMALL. And these 'fixed/folding' hinges on the inside lids...they WILL eventually break from sheer physics, you keep bending a material it WILL eventually break.
