Cozy's Complete Guide to Girls' Hair Hardcover-spiral – Illustrated, February 1, 2011

My 8 year old daughter and i both love this book. It gives you lots of cute hairstyles with easy to follow instructions. It has been a great book to look at with my daughter as she starts to make the transition to really be responsible for her own hair and have a real opinion on hair care. Only the other day she did a tricky hair style from the book on her own and was really proud of herself. Kudos to Cozy and her team for coming up with this book

Extremely helpful to teach hairstyles. Also has information on different hair types, skin and products for hair for little ones.

Nothing new for professionals but great for Mom'shair ideas for my little clients that are little girls and preteen. As a hairstylist I was hoping for a book of ideas or be inspired but was not. This book is full of great information and simple ideas one can do at home.

This book is huge, full of styles from very easy to somewhat complicated. The pictures make the tutorials on each style easier to understand. My 11 year old daughter is halfway through it, and loves trying the styles on her Barbie styling head. Great for moms, too! I have used it to do some new styles on both of my daughter's and I loved it, too.

I got this book, because I wanted to learn how to make the heart braid on the cover. Overall I like this book. It has some basic hairstyles and some more complex ones. I already knew how to do the basics, so I like the more complex styles. It also has a lot of information on hair care. My daughters hair is wavy, so I had no idea how to take care of it. My hair is 100% straight.

My girl is 17 months, so we haven't been able to do any of the hairstyles yet,but I bought this book for reference and it is wonderful. It gives lots of different advice on haircare, cutting hair, curling and blow drying hair straight. The styles themselves are very sweet and range from 5 minute styles to more elaborate, special occasion hair. The sections on hair accessories are also wonderful.I hope cozy brings out another book for older girls,hopefully including how to do home highlights, as my teen sister would love that.

This book is perfect for my 9 year old daughter, who has already tried several of the styles. She even wants me to read it and take a 'go' at it. It's user-friendly, easy to read and follow, and the photos help immensely.

The book description specifically points out that there would be step-by-step expert advise included on how to cut hair at home -- the main reason I ordered this book. Out of the 200 pages, there are a handful on cutting hair, specifically how to cut bangs, and how to achieve a blunt cut, the two things I could have with no problems figured out on my own. Other than that, there are no pictures, no step-by-step instructions, no explanations on how to do a specific haircut, like a bob, or a pixie. Nothing. As far as I'm concerned, its nothing but a lot of fluff, like how to braid hair -- information that I can pull up by the dozen for free on the internet, and that I don't need a book for to refer to over and over again.
