Huge hook. It got the job done. My fluffy yarn would glide right off of it and not get stuck because it’s so smooth. This was a hard size to find for some reason, so I was elated to find it on Amazon.

A Q needle is big and takes some practice in my opinion but worth the effort. Great price at Amazon.

My nieces originally bought me this but my puppy got ahold of it and chewed it to pieces. So I had to order another one because I'm crocheting plastic sleeping mats for the homeless made out of reused plastic shopping bags. I'm so excited for this to come. I already tried it and it was as smooth as butter crocheting the chains and also the single and double crochet to make the mat. Thanks.

Way thicker than I'm used to.Plastic gas a tendency to drag & catch on the silky yarns. Works great on the chunky blanket yarns.

I wanted the Boye jumbo hook that was in the picture, one without indents, this one is difficult to use cause the yarn gets caught up in the ergonomic indents. Hate it. Prefer smooth hooks.

I use almost all Boye crochet hooks but this is awful. It's actually useless. There's no space for the yarn on the hook with the thumb cut-out. It's impossible to use. I don't know why they changed the design from the round hook to having that cut-out right next to the hook. It's literally impossible to do a double crochet with this. It's trash. 😭 Now I have to wait more days to start my project so I can get a usable crochet Q hook for it. I'm so annoyed that I didn't listen to the reviews that talked about this issue. Was really hoping to get one without the cut-out I guess.
